About the Ferrari F430
The Ferrari F430 is a sports car produced by the Italian automaker Ferrari from 2004 to 2009, as a successor to the 360. It debuted at the 2004 Paris Motor Show. European left-hand drive sales began in November 2004, but right-hand drive sales did not start until spring 2005, and the North American market did not get the F430 until summer 2005. Its replacement, the Ferrari 458 Italia was unveiled on 28 July 2009, and is expected to go on sale in spring 2010.
Upon returning from a driving trip around Italy this elegant and beautiful vehicle needed a lot of care and attention. This vehicle is screaming with curvaceous beauty but was covered in dead bugs, bits of trees and much more.
Before washing we needed to clear the debris from the convertible hood by gently brushing and hovering. Once all the loose debris had been removed we washed the convertible top using a gentle Hood cleaner.
We cleaned the wheels using a non caustic, non acidic wheel cleaner and agitated using one of our Clb Detailing Brushes. The wheels were then washed off using a gently shampoo. All the exterior bodywork excluding the convertible hood was jet washed removing any loose contamination. We then snow foamed the vehicle (excluding the hood). Once we had completed the wash stage the vehicle was clay barred and a tar remover applied to remove all bonded contaminants.
The Ferrari was hand polished with a pre wax cleanser to remove any contamination and excess oils which may have been left behind from the previous cleaners. We then used a detailing brush to detail in all the hard to reach areas. We then polished all the wheels and dressed the tyres. A heat resistant wheel sealant was applied to protect the wheels.
Before we proceed with the final stage the bodywork is treated with a paint sealant and left to cure for 24 hours.
Whilst the sealant cured we detailed the interior removing all the evidence of the Italian beach. After hovering the carpets and seats we started the cleaning process. All the interior leather was cleansed with a gentle cleaner and nourished with a leather feed treatment. Our attention was then focused on the remaining interior trim which was refined using a clb detailing brush and sheen finish polish.
Now the sealant has cured we apply two coats of carnauba wax. The carnauba wax enhances the depth of the wet look lustre whilst also protecting the paintwork.
The smile on the owners face as he drove away was as radiant as the glare from this beautiful example of a Ferrari F430.
