About the Focus RS
The new Focus RS: you’ll either love it …or really, really love it. Based on the new Focus ST, beneath the athletic exterior lies a formidable power unit and advanced racing technology. The Treatment
Passionate about his new pride and joy the owner of this Focus Rs asked us to enhance and protect the bodywork. What a beautiful work of art standing proud the bold curves are bursting with personality. To experience the true beauty of the bodywork we first needed to prepare the vehicle using our extensive wash method. Once we had done this the vehicle was then inspected to determine the level of correction required, as there were only minor defect an Enhancement Detail was all that was required.
This Detail consists of a machine polish to revive the bodywork and remove any minor defects. Even though this is a brand new vehicle we still needed to clay bar it, as whilst waiting for its new owner contaminates will have bonded to the exterior.
Now this is what we call clean, and ready for the paint correction!!
We started by taking paint depth readings, and then tested a selection of compounds on a small area of the vehicle. We decided to use a combination of 3M products and proceeded with the correction.
We then used a pre wax cleanser to remove any excess oils before applying a carnauba wax. The wax was left to cure before applying a second layer of Dodo Juice Supernatural. Completed the glare was piercing the frozen white bodywork really did look frozen and sharp.
